MilkVein Technologies LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("MilkVein", "we", "us"), provides logistics software for raw-milk haulers, co-ops, and receiving plants. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to milkvein.com and the MilkVein web and mobile apps.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, role, organization, CDL/sampler license numbers you choose to add.
- Operational data: farms, routes, schedules, pickups, weights, temperatures, BOLs, lab results, invoices, photos of wash tags and seals, signatures.
- Device data: approximate location when you use route map features, camera input when scanning QR/wash tags, push notification tokens.
- Logs: IP address, browser/app version, and request logs for security and reliability.
2. How we use it
- To run the service — generate BOLs, sync pickups, deliver messages, and produce invoices.
- To share data with the partners you connect (e.g., your co-op or receiving plant) per your organization's settings.
- To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and provide support.
- To send transactional emails (BOL completions, invoices, sign-off links). We do not send marketing without consent.
3. Sharing
We share data with: (a) other organizations you explicitly partner with on MilkVein, (b) subprocessors listed below who run infrastructure on our behalf, and (c) when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
4. Subprocessors
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — database, auth, storage
- Cloudflare — hosting and edge runtime
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Google AI (Gemini) — optional OCR for wash tag/seal photos
5. Retention
Operational records (BOLs, pickups, invoices) are retained for at least 3 years to meet typical milk-hauling recordkeeping requirements, and longer if your organization configures it. You can request deletion of personal data tied to your user account at any time, subject to legal holds.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by role-based permissions and row-level security. Drivers only see their own loads; elevated roles see organization-wide data.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA), you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data. Email privacy@milkvein.com.
8. Children
MilkVein is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We'll post material changes here and notify org admins by email.
